INVESTMENT BANKING

Manager, Investment Banking

Major responsibilities include :

To be involved in all matters concerning corporate finance/ investment banking deals, from origination to execution of mandates.
To be involved in broad investment banking work i.e. equity capital market/debt capital market.
To assist the Head of Division towards managing and positioning products and services of IBD and the Bank in general.
To assist the Head of Division in the general administrative and management duties and responsibilities of the department to the Bank.
 
Requirements:

Masters and/or Bachelors degree holder in banking and finance or its equivalent disciplines.
5 years experience in corporate finance and/or experience in investment banking with 3 years experience in Islamic equity/debt capital market, advisory services.
Must be familiar with all regulatory requirements pertaining to Islamic equity/debt capital markets.
Excellent writing and good communication skills.
Candidate with Capital Market Services License is preferred.
 

DOMESTIC BANKING

Credit Manager

Major responsibilities include :

Independently evaluate credit proposal for corporate, commercial, SME and consumer financing application prior submission to the Risk Department.
In evaluating, to provide in-depth credit risk analysis, mitigation and recommendation to enable decision makers to formulate well-informed decisions with the objective to satisfy customer’s needs and protect the Bank’s asset quality.
Ensure compliance of the Bank’s credit policies while maintaining a balance approach to promote profitable business growth and asset quality and fast turnaround processing.
Review and comment on credit proposal to be submitted to Risk Department.
Ensure Credit Application (CA) submissions are in accordance with direction, credit policies and procedures to ensure overall quality of the bank’s financing portfolio.
Review CA structure, pricing and risk.
 
Requirements:

Possess an Honours Degree or its equivalent, preferably in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university / college.
Minimum of 5 years working experience in credit evaluation and/or assessing Corporate/Commercial loan and Islamic Banking financing applications from Relationship Managers of a Bank.
Strong analytical skills in credit and credit risk assessment.
Able to articulate well with strong writing and communication skills.
Able to work under pressure, independently and as a team member.
Good business acumen.
Candidate with Certified Credit Professional is preferred.

RISK MANAGEMENT

Senior Manager, Compliance

Major responsibilities include :

Establish and manage compliance needs.
Oversee and monitor the overall Compliance Program.
Independently reviews and evaluates the overall compliance of the Bank.
Develop policies and guidelines in relations to Compliance.
 
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (Banking, Finance, Accountancy, Economics) or other related degrees with at least 7 years experience in compliance functions.
Well versed in Compliance issues and the relevant requirements from the governing authorities.
Conversant in Islamic banking and finance.
 
INTERNAL AUDIT

Executive

Major responsibilities include :

Perform audit functions at all stages from planning, fieldwork, reporting to follow-up, covering the arrears of operational, financial, risk management and regulatory audits in accordance with the audit plan.
Review internal controls and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Provide on-the-job-training and assist in administrative matters, where necessary.
Work as a team and maintain good relationships with the other employees in the Bank.
 
Requirements:

Possess a professional qualification, with at least 3 years of audit experience (internal & external).
Accounting/Finance Degree holder with excellent results.
Excellent in analysing data/information and communicating ideas.
Proficient in report writing skills.
Will be required to travel for outstation assignments, including outside Malaysia.
Previous work experience in external audit firm (the Big 4) with banking knowledge is definitely an added advantage.
A self-starter with right attitude and able to lead audit assignments.
 
KUALA LUMPUR BRANCH

Sales Executive

Major responsibilities include :

Promote AFB consumer financing and deposit products and to cross sell other AFB products.
Support & participate in road show, blitz, cold calls, corporate sales, direct mail and other sales activities / campaigns.
Identify and capture new business opportunities to achieve sales target.
Handles customer inquiries and complaints promptly and efficiently.
 
Requirements:

Diploma/Degree holder with minimum 2 years working experience in related field .

Confident, independent, target-oriented, self-motivated and resourceful .

Sales experience in financial products and understanding of Islamic banking, will be an added advantage .

 
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Executive, Data Center

Major responsibilities include :

Responsible for the continuous and uninterrupted operations of the Data Centre (DC).
Manages and oversees day-to-day activities in DC, performs batch processing in accordance to operation manual.
Monitors network services, core banking online services and servers’ availability.
Provide daily backup processes and restoration according to backup schedule.
Performs escalation process, administrative function and duties to ensure formal and efficient logging of all changes and operational problems.
 
Requirements:

Diploma in Information Technology Engineering, or equivalent disciplines, preferably with a recognised IT Industry Certification .
At least 3 years of well rounded application knowledge of Desktop and Data Centre Operations.
 
MANAGEMENT TRAINEE

Requirements:

Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in any field and CGPA of at least 3.00.
Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proactive, self motivated and a team player.
Active involvement in extra curricular activities and have held leadership positions.
